Are you looking for the perfect homemade summer treat for your dogs?
I learned a new doggo recipe yesterday for dog frozen yogurt and we gave it a shot. The dogs LOVE it! It keeps them cool and takes them a while to enjoy — so even better. This came from Emily Kolby, a fellow Our English Setter Rescue foster/adopter, and I thought I’d share the goodness on.
Homemade Dog Frozen Yogurt Recipe:
1 32oz tub of low fat “light” plain yogurt
1 can pumpkin
2 big scoops of @crazyrichardspb dog safe peanut butter
3 tablespoons of ground flax seed
Handful of blueberries
Optional: add a little puppy/dog kibble, or like we did add a @boccesbakery banana and peanut butter treat on top.
Stir it all together in a large bowl. Place in small containers (either cups or mason jars) and freeze overnight. Then watch them enjoy! I was able to find all of these ingredients at my local grocery store.
Let us know how your dogs enjoyed the treat in the comments or send us a message on Instagram. You can check out our homemade dog treat recipe here.
We can’t wait to see your creations!
